You can configure the appearance of your X-Cart through General settings -> Appearance options.
Click on General settings in the Administration menu, select Appearance options from the section menu.
Fill out the fields below according to your preferences:
• Newsletter limit to show: Enter the number of newsletters shown per page.
• Products per page: Enter the maximum number of products you want to be displayed on a page when a customer looks into a category or a subcategory. Do not set large numbers because it will take too long for the page to load.
• Products per page (admin): Enter the maximum number of products you want to be displayed per page in the Search results in admin/provider zone.
• Orders per page (admin): Enter the maximum number of orders you want to be displayed per page in the Search results in admin/provider zone.
• Users per page (admin): Enter the maximum number of users you want to be displayed per page in the Search results in admin zone.
• Maximum navigation pages: Set the maximum number of navigation pages to be displayed in the navigation bar.
• Show quantity in stock: If enabled, customers will be able to see the quantity of a product in stock.
• Maximum number of selections in quantity selectbox: Controls the maximum product quantity your customer can add to the shopping cart.
• Show thumbnails in products list: If you want your pages to be loaded faster you can disable thumbnails in the products list. However, keep in mind that product thumbnails facilitate the process of finding the necessary product and are often the first thing your customers pay attention to.
• Select the order to sort products within a category: Select the order according to which the products will be sorted within a category.
• Show the number of products in categories: If selected, the customers can see the number of products in the categories.
• Enable "Buy Now" button in the products list: If selected, the customers can add a product to the shopping cart directly from the products list without going to the detailed view page.
• Display products list in multiple columns (1-3) (leave empty to use standard format): Define the format of the products list. Specify the necessary number of columns (from 1 to 3) or leave the field empty to use the standard format.
• Display only featured products list in multicolumn format: If selected, only featured products will be displayed in multicolumn format. This option is selected by default, so if you want the products within categories to be displayed in multiple columns, be sure to unselect this check box.
• Thumbnail width in the products list: Define the width of the thumbnails displayed in the products list.
• Select date format: Select date format for your site.
• Select time format: Select time format for your site.
• Display costs for all the shipping methods: If selected, the expected shipping cost will be displayed next to the name of each shipping method in the drop-down list in the shopping cart.
• Display detailed cart totals information: (On all checkout pages, On the last checkout page only, Never) Use the drop-down box to specify where you would like detailed cart totals information to be displayed.
• Allow to update product quantity on the checkout pages: If selected, your customers will be able to change the quantity of a product placed in the shopping cart after the process of checkout has begun.
• Print order invoices on separate pages: If selected, every invoice will be printed on a separate page. Otherwise you will be able to print multiple invoices consecutively on the same page.
• Enable printable version of categories and products pages in customer area: If selected, printable version of categories and products pages will be available to your customers.
• A customer using the "Buy now" button to order a product with product options must be redirected to the product details: If selected, a customer who clicks on "Buy now" will be redirected to the product details page (from which he will be able to add the product to his cart). If unchecked, after clicking on "Buy now" the customer will get directly to his shopping cart where he will find one item of the product added.
3. Click on the Save button to apply the changes.
